Paint clouding

The reasons for the occurrence of "paint clouding" are mainly:

• inadequate spray technique/pressure
• use of inappropriate thinner
• unsuitable gun nozzle
• insufficient evaporation times
• inadequate room temperature

To prevent the occurrence of "paint clouding", it is necessary to:

• use the correct application technique - keep the gun at an equal distance from the painted part
• use dedicated thinner and preserve evaporation times
• follow the recommendations for the method of application contained in the technical data sheet of the material

The removal of this defect provokes sanding the paint and repainting the element. If "paint clouding" has already occurred at the basecoat application stage, it is suggested to apply one more coat of basecoat.
