The causes of "paint dulling" are primarily:
- too thick layer of paint
- too much humidity in the room
- inadequate hardener/thinner
- too short evaporation of basecoat / too fast application of clearcoat
- too fast polishing (before complete evaporation/curing of the paint)
To prevent the occurrence of the "paint dulling" effect it is necessary:
- prevent evaporation of painting materials - maintain tightness of cans during storage
- ensure adequate ventilation of the room
- do not initiate the polishing process too quickly
To remove this defect, sand the paint surface with fine-grained paper and polish the surface. If necessary, reapply the paint.
