Aerosol acrylic primer is an innovative product designed to easily and effectively prepare surfaces before painting. Available in the form of a practical aerosol, this high-quality primer has been developed with professionals and DIY enthusiasts in mind, providing them with excellent results with minimal effort.
The acrylic primer is composed of acrylic resins, which guarantee flexibility and fast drying of the primer layer. Thanks to these characteristics, the painting process is quick and the repaired coating has greater resistance to cracking under slight deformations.

The main features of the acrylic spray primer are:

  • Speed and ease of application: Thanks to the convenient aerosol formulation, the primer can be evenly spread on the surface, saving time and energy.
  • Excellent adhesion: The special acrylic formulation guarantees excellent adhesion to different types of surfaces, such as wood, metal and some plastics.
  • High-quality coverage: the acrylic spray primer provides uniform and smooth coverage, eliminating unevenness and giving the surface a professional appearance.
  • Fast drying: Thanks to the short drying time, you can quickly move on to the next painting step, speeding up the whole process.
  • Corrosion protection: Special ingredients provide additional protection against corrosion, making this primer also ideal for metal surfaces.

The aerosol acrylic primer is an indispensable tool for every DIY enthusiast or professional, guaranteeing perfect surface preparation before applying the actual paint layer.

Application method:

  1. The surface to be painted should be clean and dry, a silicone remover may be required to degrease the surface.
  2. Remember to protect adjacent parts with masking tape MTE80 or a special adhering anti-static foil with T4W-TM tape.
  3. Sand the surface with sandpaper to remove any remaining old coating. We recommend starting with p400 paper. Clean again from dust, dry and degrease.
  4. Before use, shake the can vigorously for 1-2 minutes to thoroughly mix the primer and propellant. If the spray can has been stored in cold conditions it may be necessary to warm it up, e.g. in warm water, so that the temperature inside is approx. 20-25°C. This will ensure an even application of the propellant. This will ensure that the product is applied evenly and that the nozzle does not "splash".
  5. Test the product and spray on a test surface, e.g. a piece of cardboard or an invisible surface.
  6. Apply the primer from a distance of about 30cm, in thin layers, allowing the thinners to evaporate before applying the next coat. Apply successive coats until fully covered, using a cross spray pattern.
  7. Apply 1-3 coats depending on the desired final result.
  8. Evaporation time between coats depends on ambient temperature and thickness of coats, standard is 5-7 minutes.
  9. When dry, wet sand the surface with fine sandpaper of grade p1000.
  10. After cleaning the surface again, apply the primer in the colour of your choice.

Tips:

  • Always test on a test surface before application
  • When you have finished, turn the can upside down and press the valve for a few seconds. This will clean the nozzle and valve of any paint residue and you will be able to enjoy the colour to the end of the can without the nozzle drying out.
  • The thinner the layers of paint, the better. It is always better to apply an extra layer than to risk streaks.
  • Take your time and let each layer evaporate, as applying successive coats too quickly risks paint defects such as peeling or streaks.
  • Remember that the ambient temperature plays an important role: If it is higher than 25 degrees Celsius or lower than 15 degrees Celsius, the drying time must be taken into account.
  • Never paint in direct sunlight or in hot weather.
  • Remember that the thickness of the coating and the humidity also affect the evaporation of subsequent coats!
